Project Green

Through Project Green, NOMAD Films promotes sustainable film and video making practices by commissioning filmmakers to produce ecological-minded projects using sustainable methods of production.

On Monday, January 16, NOMAD Films launched Project Green 2012.   Independent film and video makers are invited to submit proposals for participation through February 29, 2012.  Guidelines, an application and rules and terms for participation can be found on the Project Green Blog; the Producers Guild of America Green's (PGA Green) Unified Best Practices Guide and their site,, will serve as Project Green’s official sustainable production resources.

Selected participants will be notified March 19, 2012, and will have through September 3 to complete the rough cut of their project.  Final projects will screen October and November 2012; screenings dates and cinemas to be announced March 2012.
